The Director of Account Service provides guidance and leadership to the Account Service Team. The Director acts as the liaison between account service and other departments, as needed. The Director serves as the Account Executive on key accounts, as necessary. Other responsibilities include management of utilization, database management and process refinement, and participation in leadership team initiatives. The Director works with a variety of personalities and areas of the agency to serve clients well.

Strategy & Execution

    • Support strategic development for all clients within the team
    • Support team with execution, ensuring coverage during vacations and sick days within team
    • Responsible for efficiency and profitability in execution
    • Lead planning and action to support client growth
    • Proactively serve clients daily in alignment with strategic goals and objectives
    • Develop multi-channel communication strategies for client businesses
    • Partner with other agency teams to develop robust communication plans for short-term initiatives as well as annual and long-term strategic goals

Client Relationships

    • Support account team as client sponsor connecting monthly with clients
    • Ensure client relationships are strong within team, gaining trust and confidence of client stakeholders while demonstrating values and integrity
    • Identify opportunities to improve the client relationship and/or business, and support these efforts when needed
    • Build relationships with client stakeholders (Director, Sr. Managers, Managers)
    • Provide monthly reporting to clients, advising them on the status of retainer hours and protectively addressing budget considerations
    • Assist with challenging client conversations
    • Exercise responsibility for client relationships and execution

Team & Training

    • Manage individual projects within timeline and identified budgets in conjunction with client-approved creative brief
    • Train and manage a team of account executives, overseeing the execution of their portfolios and meeting revenue targets

    • Maintain real-time coaching and training with account team

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Education & Experience

    • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a full-service marketing agency
    • Experience serving as an account lead in verticals similar to those currently in the WD portfolio
    • Highly relational
    • Traffic/Project management experience
    • Ability to partner with other departments to service accounts
    • Training/mentoring of account coordinators and account executives
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Mac experience, a plus), and/or Apple iCloud components
    • Experience in charting tools, project management tools, or reporting platforms, a plus

The Account Coordinator provides administrative and client support to account executives. The Account Coordinator assists in the day-to-day administration of creative and digital initiatives on client accounts. The Account Coordinator maintains a high level of awareness of client activities, managing excellent communication with client contacts.
