WD World

Giving Thanks

Here at the WD there is never a shortage of fun, creative and light-hearted chatter. This time of year, however, offers a chance for everyone to take a step back and remember just what makes their lives so fulfilling.

Yes, there are deadlines, planning, computer glitches and inboxes full to the brim, but there’s always time to be thankful (and consume as much turkey and green bean casserole as humanly possible). So in the spirit of the season, we’ve paused to share some of the things for which we’re most thankful.

Adrienne — I’m thankful to be back in Ft. Worth (go Frogs!). I’m also thankful to be one of the newest members of the talented team here at WD. I’m grateful that everyone has been so nice and welcoming!

Alissa — I am thankful for the support of friends and family in the midst of big life changes.

Angela — This fall I’ve thought about the little things that make me smile. So I guess you could say I’m thankful for: Blake’s guitar and the gift of song in our home; Layla’s mastering of a cartwheel and round-off; Brook’s awesome x-choke and newly earned orange belt; pumpkin spice lattes; blogs written by friends; and Netflix with my husband after a long day.

Brian Henderson – I’m thankful that I finally get to sit at the adult table this year. Oh yeah, and for my mom’s dressing.

Bryce — I’m thankful most of all for my family and all the things God has provided for me. I’m thankful to have a career doing not only what I love to do, but what I actually spent my education on learning. And I’m thankful for beer. Seriously … I love beer.

Cassidy — I’m thankful for friends and family; and for music, because of how powerful it is.

Clay – I’m thankful just to have a job.

Dana — I’m thankful for all my blessings, every day!

David — I’m thankful for my family and my neighbors.

Doug — I’m thankful for God’s blessings on my family and business.

Elizabeth — I am thankful for Tracey.

Erik — I’m a dog lover who enjoys movies, long walks on the beach and a good sense of humor.

Hollie — I’m most thankful for my family & close friends, and most recently the birth of my first grandchild.

Jacqline — I’m thankful for pedicures, red wine and my other mother, Elizabeth.

Jenny — I am thankful for two beautiful daughters and a husband who impress on me every day the value of “letting go.” They are my comfort, my escape, my personal comedians, and my gentle reminders that life is bigger than sweating the small stuff.

Lauren — I’m thankful for my job and my husband.

Leigh — I’m thankful for my family, friends and fellowship … And for chocolate, cake and ice cream.

Lisa — I am thankful for this country, freedom to worship, my family, my son Matt, friends, opportunities I have been given, my work and colleagues at Warren Douglas, great food, Dallas/Fort Worth, being outdoors, my health, walks, the YMCA and the ability to travel to new places.

Liz — I am thankful for all the love in my life, my big fuzzy dogs, my faith, Vietnamese food, the opportunity I have for a career, frozen schooners of beer, and my flat iron.

Mashallah — I’m thankful for 3D movies.

Mitch — I’m thankful for my wonderful family, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Paul — I am most thankful for my family, friends and a fantastic place to work! And I’m thankful for Taste Buds.

Ryan Harvey — I’m thankful for finally graduating this semester.

Sam — I’m thankful for my munchkins, of both the human and furry variety.

Scott G. — I am thankful for my faith, my family, my friends, my coworkers and my job.

Scott P. — I am thankful for my family, music, fantasy sports, good friends, jelly beans, laughter, and my church, to name a few.

Sheena — I’m thankful that I get to be in a good place with good people, and I’m thankful that every time things have seemed hopeless, my life has somehow righted itself to keep me afloat.

Steve — I am thankful for internal combustion because it has given me a lifetime of hair-raising thrills.

Tracey — I’m thankful for my faith, my family and my friends.

From all the folks at the WD to you: Happy Thanksgiving!
