Mediaocean Plugs Into Spotify, Gives Advertisers Access To Audio Audiences

Spotify is following Pandora’s lead, according to Media Post.  In 2013, Pandora partnered with media buying platforms STRATA and Mediaocean to provide buyers  easier access to Pandora audience data.  This move allowed for a more seamless integration between terrestrial and digital radio buys.  Now, two years later, Spotify announces their partnership with Mediaocean.  If Spotify continues to follow Pandora’s lead, look for them to build their ad sales staff in key markets and increase their focus on local/spot market advertising opportunities.  Read the full article here.
