How GM is Using Social Media to Drive Change

GM launched their Detroit-based Social Command Center in 2013 with a staff of 500 employees, monitoring¬†400 social media channels. Their “swim lanes” of clearly defined responsibilities – split between PR, marketing and customer care – are a wonderful example of the collaborative effort required to achieve successful social media campaigns and effective online management.
